If you answered yes to all those questions, this series is for you.

Video Transcript:

Hi everyone.

Jorge here and welcome to my fundamentals course on custom visuals for Power BI.

This course will get you up and running on developing your own Power BI visuals from scratch and plugging them into your own reports and dashboards. This course assumes you already know what Power BI is and how to design reports as an end-user, so it does not cover that. Instead, you will see how to develop your own custom visuals using the Power BI developer tools.

You will first build a common bar chart from the ground up while adding all the functionality you expect to see in Power BI, such as data binding, selections, interactions, tooltips and localization. You will then use your new found knowledge to build other visual types, such as histograms, line charts, scatter plots, bubble charts, maps and others.

If this sounds daunting and interesting at the same time, this course is for you. See you in the first module.
